AJTR: Editorial Board Policy

Editorial Board of AJTR consists of members from the Senior Editorial Board and the Associate Editorial Board.

1. Senior Editorial Board: Senior Editorial Board will consist of well-established investigators, physicians and scientists, with an excellent publication record (>50 publications) and an academic rank at or above associate professor level or the equivalents. Members in Senior Editorial Board will be invited by Chief or Associate Chief Editors or recommended by the current Senior Editorial Board Members. Membership will remain in effect until terminated by either the member or the journal.

Members in this category will be required to review manuscripts in their field of expertise, but will not exceed three (3) manuscripts each year, and are expected to submit or solicit one or more manuscripts for consideration of publication in AJTR each year during their tenure.

2. Associate Editorial Board: Members in this category must have an excellent publication record (>20 publications) and an academic rank at or above assistant professor or equivalent level with an independent research laboratory that is supported by NIH or other major national funding agencies. They may be invited by members of the Senior Editorial Board Members, Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor-in-Chief, or self-recommended. Membership will remain in effect until terminated by either the member or the journal.

Members in this category will be required to submit or recruit at least one manuscript to AJTR for consideration of publication each year, and are expected to review manuscripts if requested, but no more than five (5) manuscripts each year. They may be promoted to the Senior Editorial Board upon fulfillment of their responsibilities as a member of Associate Editorial Board for four consecutive years.

All Editorial Board members are expected to promote AJTR where possible and appropriate.
