IJMEG: Editorial Board Policy

The Editorial Board of IJMEG consists of members from the Senior Editorial Board and the Associate Editorial Board.

Senior Editorial Board: The senior editorial board will consist of approximately 100 well-established scientists at any one time, with a very high caliber publication record (>50 PubMed indexed publications) and an academic rank at or above associate professor level or equivalent. The majority of them will be invited by Editor-in-Chief and/or Associate Chief Editors or recommended by members of the founding editorial board. Membership will remain in effect until terminated by either the member or the journal.

Members in this category will be required to review manuscripts in their field of expertise, and are expected to submit or solicit at least one manuscript each year during their tenure.

Associate Editorial Board: The number of associate editors is not limited at this time, but generally no more than 100. Members in this board must have an excellent publication record (>20 PubMed indexed publications) and an academic rank at or above assistant professor level or equivalent. They may be invited by members of the Senior Editorial Board, the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors-in-Chief. Self-recommendation is welcome and is in fact encouraged and is done by writing to the Editorial Office with a copy of an updated CV. Membership will remain in effect until terminated by either the member or the journal.

Members in this category will be required to submit at least one manuscript each year, and are expected to review manuscripts if requested. They may be promoted to the senior editorial board upon fulfilment of their responsibilities as an associate editor for four consecutive years.

All Editorial Board members are expected to promote IJMEG where possible and appropriate.
